GENESIS,  STRUCTURE  AND  PROPERTIES  OF  CLAY  SOILS  IN  WEST  SIBERIA*

Sedimentary properties of Mid Priob'ye territory are defined by the general course of ancient and especially, the latest tectonic movements. In many cases, average values of indicators of silt-loam soil properties are the only criterion for studied soils to be referred to the certain regional and genetic type. Indicators of mechanical and physical properties of soils similar to general petrographic properties are the most valuable for continental deposits of quartenary age.
