NON-AUTOCLAVED  WATERPROOF  COMPOSITES  BASED  ON  SAND,  LIQUID  GLASS  COMPOSITIONS,  AND  SEWAGE  SLUDGE

The paper suggests a synthesis of a new cementing agent based on a liquid glass and dry СаО or Са(ОН)2 with formation of low-basic calcium–silicate–hydrate and tough silica gel which possesses high cementing qualities along with calcium–silicate–hydrate. A possibility of using the synthesized cementing agent in manufacturing waterproof and sound sand-based building materials with incorporating therein pigmenting material, namely iron oxide pigment obtained from sewage sludge is described herein. The flow sheet suggested for making these products has a number of practical advantages as compared to the calcium silicate brick technology.
